Tomorrow, I’ll be leading a workshop of art/story/faith. The women will be using collage, and a little book I have made for each of them, to share their stories. There is lots of preparation and packing in order to facilitate this event. I am blessed to have two friends, for this workshop, who have helped cut out photos and words. They will also help me set up and break down for the event, which is a huge blessing to me.
I am looking forward to all the Lord will do at the event, and I pray healing begins to happen as the art is used as a bridge for bringing truth, love, mercy, grace and hope into the stories of the women. While fighting stage four cancer, I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.” 1 Corinthians1:3-5
