Jesus In The Garden, in process…acrylic on canvas, Marcia Carole
Three projects are currently in process in my studio. Tomorrow is a busy day with a speaking engagement and the preparation for that meeting. I’m fine-tuning a Power Point presentation on art/faith/story.
I’d like to finish putting the Abraham, Sarah and Hagar art book together in the next couple of days. Then, I could concentrate on the above painting. The YES glue is out and ready for action to get the pages down on the accordion book!
But wait! I am right in the middle of painting Jesus in agony, while He is praying in the garden before His trial and crucifixion. I want to remind myself, and any viewers, of Jesus’ humanity; He was tempted to pass on dying for us. He didn’t, and we celebrate His obedience to the Father and His love for all mankind on Easter morning. My church has asked for artwork for our Easter celebration this year, and I hope to submit this piece.
I have many more hours of painting, but I like the direction this piece is taking.
And then there is the book-making right across from the painting….
Collaged book being assembled in my studio.
My studio has been a busy place ever since I got up from having the flu!
Bird’s eye view of a book in progress!
