Telling our stories through art collage in Alaska.
It’s “winter intervention” day here in Eagle River, Alaska. This evening, I’ll be heading over to Jitters with my daughter, Katie, who lives in Alaska. She has graciously invited me to host an art workshop to help her friends tell their stories through the type of art I do. Jitters is a comfortable, leather chairs type coffee shop in this snow-covered mountains, little town. She and her girlfriends have rented the back room of Jitters for monthly meetings to encourage each other to get through the long Alaska winters, and tonight, they’ll be sharing more of their stories with the art making.

I am prepared, many have helped provide pictures and glue sticks, and I hope the women are blessed and encouraged this evening! I’m looking forward to some delicious hot decaf and warm fellowship! Listening to each others’ stories, coffee and prayer. Sounds like a really special night.
